Khabib Nurmagomedov did not seem pleased to have Adin Ross join the team at a secret New York City training session tonight.

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Adin Ross meet at an MMA gym

The legendary former lightweight champion is in the city to prepare Islam Makhachev for the biggest fight of his career on Saturday night at UFC 322. The Russian is moving up in weight to pursue a rare second world title at welterweight, and is finishing up his camp.

So when manager Ali Abdelaziz invited Ross, a comedic and unathletic streamer, to come and train with the team it seemed to legitimately irk Nurmagomedov. With Daniel Cormier also a guest for training, the Russian was sure to mock the internet star before getting him out of training as quickly as possible.

From the moment he arrived at the gym, Adin Ross was something of a menace for Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team. From wearing pink shorts to consistently checking his stream’s chat on his phone, it was clear he was not long for that world.

And when the legendary champion was made aware of his presence, he seemed legitimately annoyed to have an outsider joining their session. “Who are you?” Nurmagomedov asked, to which Ross replied by saying he had been invited by Ali Adelaziz.

“He’s not the boss here, why you never ask?” When Ross noted that he had been invited, Abdelaziz laughed and claimed the streamer wanted to do a grappling match with him. Eventually, he was allowed to take part in the team’s light warm-up.

Nurmagomedov then told cameras that he was going to turn the “streamer into a screamer”. But before he could show any serious training, the coach did call time on his appearance and demanded he leave the session for real.

Adin Ross forced to tap out to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager

Before he could leave the session, though, Adin Ross had to answer to his calls for a grappling match with Abdelaziz. The team joked with him that their manager is quite a bit older and past his athletic peak, but it mattered little.

Within seconds of the pair engaging with Ross on top, he was caught in a choke and forced to tap almost instantly. He then shared a genuine moment of respect with Nurmagomedov, whom he insisted it was an honor to meet.

In his final moment with the combat icon, the Russian told Ross that next time he must change out of his pink shorts to something black.
