Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat are set to make their return to AEW. While AEW fans seem to be excited to see the legends, a former WWE champion recently made an insulting remark about them.

Ricochet Explains WWE Departure, Joining AEW Wasn't About Accepting 'Highest Bidder'

Former WWE United States Champion Ricochet went on to disrespect Steamboat and Flair ahead of their return to AEW. Tony Schiavone announced recently that the WWE Hall of Famer will make their return to Greensboro, North Carolina, next week to see AEW Blood & Guts. Fans have been speculating about the potential role of the legends on next week’s show in AEW.

However, Ricochet took to X to claim that he is better than Steamboat and Flair in the world of professional wrestling. In an utterly disrespectful tone, The One & Only went on to call the two legends “old farts.”

“I’m better than both these old farts. #Ahaa 👑” wrote Ricochet

It will be interesting to see if Flair and Steamboat will answer to Ricochet directly on AEW Blood & Guts next week for such a bold statement. With that said, only time will tell what Tony Khan has in store for the two stars on the show.

Ric Flair will make his first AEW appearance since May this year, when he appeared for a special tribute to Steve McMichael during Collision: Beach Break. Ahead of his comeback to the promotion, the former WWE Champion sent a bold message to the fans.

Taking to X, Flair posted his iconic ‘Golden Spoon’ promo from 1987. In a pretty confident tone, The Nature Boy reminisced about the same statement to remind fans about his charisma in the world of pro-wrestling.

“I Was Born With A Golden Spoon! WOOOOO!” wrote Flair
